Biomechanical Research Institute, LLC (BRi) is a full-service forensic engineering research & consulting company dedicated to providing quality engineering solutions to our clients’ analytical problems.  We offer thousands of vehicle-to-barrier crash tests, vehicle-to-vehicle crash tests, and “real-world” impacts performed and/or investigated by: the National Highway & Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA), the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS), the National Automotive Sampling System (NASS), and by BRi.

History

History

Biomechanical Research Institute, LLC (BRi) was formed in March, 1998 by Mr. Adelino Yung, P.E.  As of January, 2024, Mr. Yung is one of only eight active, licensed Professional Engineers in the State of Texas with branch designations in both Biomedical Engineering and Mechanical Engineering.

Mr. Yung is also a licensed Professional Engineer in the State of California and in the State of Louisiana (with branch designations in Mechanical Engineering).  Additionally, Mr. Yung is a Board-Certified Diplomate in Forensic Engineering as a Senior Member of the National Academy of Forensic Engineers (accredited by the Council on Engineering & Scientific Specialty boards).  Finally, Mr. Yung is fully-accredited as a Traffic Accident Reconstructionist through the Accreditation Commission for Traffic Accident Reconstructionists (ACTAR).

Mr. Yung received a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from Michigan State University (East Lansing, Michigan), a Master of Science degree in Bioengineering from Texas A&M University (College Station, Texas), and has completed a year of post-graduate studies at Cornell University (Ithaca, New York) in the field of Biological Engineering.
